Uganda

In January 2022, The Reach Foundation started working with The Legacy Children’s Initiative, Uganda. Together, we have implemented two feeding programs and have provided school materials for children living in extreme poverty. The children in our feeding programs often have their lessons under the shade of Mango trees due to the lack of classrooms available. During the rainy season, when classrooms are available, they can become flooded, causing disruption to lessons and taking a long time for the staff and children to clean. However, despite the challenges, our feeding programs have made a massive difference to the children and families in Uganda and with the continued support of our generous donors, we aim to increase the number of children and families we help in the coming years.

‘Since Legacy Children's Initiative Namutumba (Uganda) started working with The Reach Foundation UK, we have become a model organisation in feeding and educating orphans and vulnerable children in rural Uganda. We want to send a big thank you from all of the children and Legacy Children's Initiative Team to everyone who is part of the work of The Reach Foundation UK.'
